The San Francisco SPCA encompasses an adoption center which finds homes for over 4,000 cats and dogs annually and a full-service veterinary hospital. Additional programming includes Animal Assisted Therapy, Mobile Vaccine Clinics for underserved neighborhoods, foster care, and the Communicate Cares Initiative for free roaming and feral cats. There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities at the San Francisco SPCA. The majority of volunteers devote their time to walking and training dogs or visiting and socializing cats and kittens. The SF SPCA partners with Macy’s in downtown San Francisco for the annual Holiday Windows adoption event, taking place from Thanksgiving through New Years. Additional volunteer opportunities include working for this event.

Date/Time: 3 Hour weekly commitment for 6 months required (volunteering for Macy’s Holiday Windows is a shorter commitment).
