San Francisco Food Bank needs volunteers to help sort, package and distribute healthy foods for our community.

Come see what’s in season - from peaches to beans and rice - and get it out the door!  Each year, over 22,000 people contribute thousands of hours to fighting hunger in our community. This support will enable us to distribute 43.5 million pounds of food this year - enough for 93,000 meals every day.

ge and distribute these nutritious foods for our community

  • Weekdays: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
  • Evenings: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 6:00-8:00 pm and Thursdays 4:00-6:00pm
  • Children are welcome to volunteer, too! Our minimum age limit is 8 years old during Saturday projects, and 4 years old during Sunday projects. Each elementary-aged child must be accompanied by an adult. (Middle School and High School students are welcome to participate in all project shifts.)
