San Francisco Bay would not exist as the beautiful natural treasure it is today without Save The Bay. This year, we celebrate 50 years of halting massive bayfill and dumping, restoring wetlands and engaging the community to save the Bay. With the celebration of this milestone, Save The Bay would like to invite you out for a day of weeding followed by lunch. We will be working to improve wetland habitat at Bothin Marsh in Richardson Bay, Mill Valley. With the help of our partners, the Marin County Open Space District, we will be removing non-native species to improve transition zone habitat for shorebirds and wildlife. You too can help out with our hands-on stewardship projects while you learn about our past and current efforts to improve plant species diversity. Tee shirts will be provided so please list your shirt size in the comments when you register.
