This year the CLF is also acknowledging the important role that music has played in social justice movements and in addition will present its annualLegacy Award and Emerging Leader Award to musicians, Sheila E and Diane Gameros, respectively. Over 800 attendees from the government, education, corporate and community sectors will join CLF to applaud its students and celebrate their accomplishments. Assemblymember Luis Alejo will be a guest speaker.

Since 1977, CLF has been selectively giving thirty merit-based scholarships annually, valued at $1,500 each, to well-deserving college-bound Latinas.
