On Friday, July 4, 2014, thousands of people will watch the star spangled excitement of creative floats, specialty units, marching musical units and guest celebrities! This patriotic parade will start at 10:00 a.m. sharp and is expected to take just under two hours to pass spectators along route starting at the Fremont Main Library.
This year's Grand Marshal is Zac Soares. A young boy that was diagnosed with a rare muscle disease called Dermatomyositis back in 2007. Since then he has spent his time educating others on the disease and being a normal kid.
Fremont 4th of July is also looking for a local superstar to kick off the parade with the National Anthem. If you or someone you know can sing the Star Spangled Banner a cappella, have them submit an audition video to firstname.lastname@example.org by June 15. They will all be reviewed and the top ones will be chosen for final judging.
