Kristi Yamaguchi's Always Dream Foundation will be putting on an incredible skating performance on Septermber 3rd at SAP Center in San Jose. Skaters will include Kristi herself, along with Karen Chen, Polina Edmunds, Ekaterina Gordeeva, Yuka Sato, Maia and Alex Shibutani, Mirai Nagasu, Vincent Zhao, Jeremy Abbott, and Ryan Bradley!
"There is a lot of rich figure skating history here in the Bay Area," Bay Area skating icon and Golden Moment co-host Brian Boitonano said. "This is a particularly exciting time for skating as we celebrate the return of the US Nationals to San Jose at the end of the year and Kristi’s commemorative anniversary of her gold medal.”
Kristi's Always Dream Foundation focuses its efforts on promoting early childhood literacy. The foundation's "Always Reading" program works through local Title 1 schools to nurture an interest in reading by giving children in Northern California, Arizona and Hawaii easy access to print and digital books and e-tablets. Locally, The "Always Reading" early childhood literacy program currently serves 13 schools in the Bay Area, impacting 1,100 kindergarten students and their families. Seven of those schools reside in the Southbay area.
Students who completed the "Always Reading" program during the school year can recieve free tickets to Golden Moment.
