Local Playwright Lauren Mayer has been writing kids musical theater for decades, but she's especially looking forward to seeing her latest creation get its West Coast debut this month when the local actors of Pied Piper Players take this wacky, fun, irreverent tale of fairy tale heroes and villains to the stage.

Mayer's Never After is a rocking new musical filled with our most beloved fairy tale heros taking on their villainous counter parts anew. This fun, fabulous new tale is all set to music that spans Rock, '80s Pop and even Motown eras. The show opens with a hard-rock tune that lets the audience in with "This Ain't Your Typical Fairy Tale." Havoc, chase scenes, rock music, missing villains and a happily-ever after ending all add up to a new kind of fairy tale that will have the whole family chuckling.
