Make Mother’s Day extra special this year by surprising mom with a trip to the Filoli Estate in Woodside, California for their traditional Mother’s Day weekend event, the 2015 Filoli Flower Show. This year’s theme is Voyages, as professional and amateur floral designers take you on a virtual trip around the world. Imagine being on a cruise to Hawaii, Northern Europe, or the Far East, or taking a riverboat tour through the Amazon Rain Forest or from Paris to Monet’s Garden. At the Filoli Flower Show, you can do it all.
NBC Bay Area’s own Lance Lew was chosen to create a unique and amazing flower arrangement, with his interpretation of the Road to Hana on Maui, Hawaii. This Mother’s Day weekend event bring you oceans of floral beauty with designer arrangements, lauded table settings, children’s bouquets, horticultural collections, garden art and vignettes, plus educational exhibits in ports of call throughout the House and Garden. This year also brings new attractions: the fairy gardens, perpendicular hanging gardens and wreaths and baskets located on the tennis court.
