The Jazzschool in Berkeley, CA Celebrates Black History Month with Performance

Join the Jazzschool as they celebrate Black History Month with Four Musical Performances

In honor of Black History Month, The Jazzschool in Berkeley, CA will host a series of special event performances throughout the month of February. There will be four performances that take place every weekend. On Feb 2nd, vocalist Rhonda Benin will kick off the series. Gerald Beckett, a renowned flutist and stalwart of the Bay Area music scene, will perform Saturday Feb 9th at 8:00pm. The third performance, on Saturday the 17th will feature Howard Wiley and Jeff Denson as they present a tribute to the great Thelonious Monk. The Jazzschool will conclude the series with the 2nd Annual Eddie Marshall Tribute, where Bay Area drumming legend Eddie Marshall will perform alongisde Bay Area All-Stars Chuck MacKinnon, Al Bent, Mark Levin, John Wiitala, and Ron Marabuto.
