Have you or someone you now been the victim of violence? Join San Jose Mayor, Sam Liccardo and San Jose Police Chief Larry Esquivel on June 17th at Santana Row for the Walk in Her Shoes event, presented by the YWCA of Silicon Valley.
This event is a mile long walk men participate in to raise awareness against sexual assault and domestic violence—while raising funds to provide critical support services for survivors. Prominent business leaders, elected officials, professionals, educators and students walk a mile in women’s shoes to demonstrate their commitment to ending violence.
Over 2 million women in California are survivors of rape. Support the YWCA’s effort by bringing awareness to this issue. Also, you may volunteer and sponsor the event, a participant, or a team.
