Lincecum Leads Giants Over Dodgers

Tim Lincecum had another strong outing, and the Giants won another series, after beating the Dodgers 9-4 Wednesday night.

Lincecum mowed through the powerful Dodgers lineup, pitching shutout baseball through the first seven innings.  He tired a bit in the eighth, eventually allowing three runs in the inning, before Brian Wilson cleaned things up.  At the end of the night, the Cy Young Award winner had a line of 7 innings pitched, six hits, three runs and eight strikeouts.  He is now 2-1 this season.

His battery mate, Bengie Molina was the star offensively.  Believe it or not, Molina hit a two run triple in the first inning to get the scoring started.  He later added a home run, while collecting three hits and four RBI.

With the win, the Giants took two out of three against their rivals, and have now won four straight series.  They will try to make it five in a row when they begin a weekend series against Colorado on Friday at AT&T Park.
