Girls For A Change Team Coach in Silicon Valley - starting August

Girls For A Change (GFC) empowers young women in middle school and high school to create social change in their communities. We are looking for women volunteers to guide girls through the process of identifying an issue in their community and then designing a project that creates change around that issue.
Coaching with GFC means working with girls for 12 weeks either in the fall or spring to tell them they are important and powerful and that they can create change. The commitment is about 15 hours per month and includes one meeting per week with girls plus a Coach Orientation and two additional trainings. We offer Coach Trainings, staff support and a coach manual to help guide you during the year.

Project Details:
Time: Usually after school, once a week for 12 weeks
Location: Silicon Valley
Age Restrictions: 18+
Type of Work: Youth Non Profit Volunteer
Waiver Required?: Volunteers will need to be fingerprinted in order to work with youth
Attire: Casual or professional
Additional Fees: There is a $15 volunteer fee to cover the cost of processing and volunteers pay for their own fingerprinting. Financial assistance is available.
