Sound Off on Teacher Salaries

Right now, most teachers in the Bay Area get a salary based largely on how many years they have spent in the classroom.  

But some school districts around the country are turning to performance pay --  bumping teacher pay checks if they see a bump in students test scores. They're also experimenting with linking teacher salaries to other measures of success, like peer reviews.

Should merit pay be used in the Bay Area?   Tell us what you think.
