Noise Pop Releases Initial 2016 Lineup

San Francisco's annual Noise Pop has announced the first wave of confirmed artists for the 2016 event, which takes place in various venues from Feb. 19-28.

Vince Staples, The Mountain Goats, The Thermals, Escort, Parquet Courts, Kamasi Washington, Film School, Heartwatch, Cayucas, Beacon, Natasha Kmeto, Palehound, Wild Ones, The Cave Singers, and Astronauts, Etc. are all scheduled to appear at the 24th edition of the music fest. More artists are expected to be announced over the coming weeks.

General admission badges good for all non-seated concerts plus a schedule of related films, happy hours and cultural events are on sale now for $175; a "Super Fan" badge that includes drink tickets, merchandise package and access to a festival rep all week is $375.

The lineup broadens stylistically each year.

"Noise Pop books bands that we love and that we feel our audience will appreciate," Noise Pop general manager Dawson Ludwig told NBC Bay Area. "Over the last five years our audience has grown accustomed to a wide range of music. This is a dream come true for us music nerds. We are able to now confidently book a wide array of talent and be confident that it will sell well."
