The Giants plus the MAPP and Triclops!

    It may still be the exhibition season but there is nothing fake about the Battle of the Bay. The Giants play the Oakland A's this weekend in San Francisco. If you can't make it out to the ball game, plop on your couch and turn on NBC Bay Area for all the action. We are of course the official broadcast home of the San Francisco Giants.     The Mission is full of colorful wannabe artists but one group does what others can only imitate. The Mission Arts and Performance Project is a community is a collage of 10 to 15 spaces in the famed San Francisco neighborhood that are transformed into "make-shift mini-cultural centers focused on the intimate experience of culture and people." Workshops start Saturday at 1 p.m. at the POPPY.

    Psychedelic punk rock is celebrated at the Bottom of the Hill this Sunday when Triclops and some of their friends celebrate the band's new release. The punk Mecca gets groovy at 5 p.m.
