600 Jobs Up for Grabs in San Francisco

It's free so, why not?

Who says nobody's hiring?

A job fair in San Francisco Tuesday proves that negative thought is just that -- a negative thought.

More than 600 jobs are up for grabs at the San Francisco HIRE event at Hotel Whitcomb.

Recruiters from companies including the San Francisco Housing Authority, National Park Service, Prudential Financial, Golden Gate University, Toshiba and Wells Fargo will be looking for potential employees. Here's a list of all the companies and types of jobs available.

Those scouts and others will be looking to fill positions ranging from accountants to tech support experts, and just about everything in between. There will be seminars for successful job-seeking and career advice experts on-hand to give free advice and resume critiques.

Be bold -- it won't hurt that bad. And, hey, you could walk out with a paycheck in your near future.

So, if you spent years perfecting your management style or learning how to make Web sites operate faster, there could be a chance to land a gig.

The job fair is free and runs from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
