It looks like Oakland is getting in on the action as well, with their "Eat Real" food festival happening.

There may be no Eddy Murphy or a man waiting to broom the performers off the stage if the entertainers don't do their job and actually entertain you but fresh from the Appollo Theater in New York, Dreamgirls comes to the Curran Theatre. Running from this week through Sept. 26, catch the musical that tells the story of the rise and fall of a 1960s girl group.

Patton Oswalt has shown the world that he can play one deranged sports fan but he can also make people laugh. The funny looking funnyman will tell jokes at Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco all weekend.

Does it get any better than eating real? We don't think so. The popular Eat Real Festival returns for a second year at Jack London Square with street food vendors, amazing coffee and delicious restaurants all come together all to wet your appetite and expand your food palette.
