9/14 Beatles Flip

Plus romantic theater and remembering an artist

COME TOGETHER: The Space Gallery on Polk is showing "revolution 9.9.9", an art exhibit exploring the Beatles' flip from squeaky clean teens to psychedelic jammers. Today's the last day so make sure you catch the exhibit -- you don't want to regret not seeing it when you're 64.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIFE: Noel Coward's play, Brief Encounter, explores the love between a housewife and a married doctor in 1945. Indulge your daydreams in this masterpiece through Oct. 4.

IN MEMORY: At 4 p.m. the SFMOMA is holding a memorial service in honor of sculptor and conceptual artist David Ireland. The service is free and open to the public.
