Quentin Tarantino's “Inglourious” San Francisco Trip

Where does the director hang out when he's in town? The Mission, just like everyone else

Wednesday night, Inglourious Basterds director Quentin Tarantino was in town to promote the movie which had its local premiere at the historic Castro Theater.

How did he introduce the movie? Apparently the same way he did in New York -- enthusiastically brief.

Afterwards, he dropped by the bar Zeitgeist on Valencia, where he chatted up the locals and was by all accounts quite friendly.

Though the experience did leave one man "Freaking. My. S***."

By Thursday morning he had also checked out Philz for coffee, as well as Blue Bottle.

Everyone needs to eat, so another sighting had him at Mission Pie.

So, essentially, if you're a Mission habitué, know that Tarantino likes all the same stuff you do.

And who doesn't love pie and killing Nazis?

Jackson West managed to miss Tarantino at most of these locations.
