‘Portlandia' Headlines SF Sketchfest

12th annual event runs Jan. 24-Feb. 10

The full lineup has been revealed for the 12th annual SF Sketchfest: The San Francisco Comedy Festival, which runs Jan. 24-Feb. 10 at various venues in San Francisco.

Highlights of the more than three dozen events include a tribute to Portlandia featuring stars Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein (Herbst Theatre, Jan. 30), a 35th anniversary screening of Animal House that includes a conversation with director John Landis (Roxie Theatre, Feb. 6), and Princess, a performance of Prince songs by Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum (Feb. 8 at Yoshi's). The ambitious schedule includes a wide variety of live podcasts, musical comedy, television re-enactments, and other explorations beyond the staid standup format.

Tickets for all SF Sketchfest events go on sale at 10 a.m. on Dec. 16.

If past years are any indication of speed, expect many of them to sell out quickly.
