    DON'T FAINT: Who said nothing good never came out of Nebraska. The Faint will bring its Ladytron friends and do its best Franz Ferdinand impersonation at  The Fillmore, 1805 Geary Ave., in San Francisco at 8 p.m. Tickets are available from our friends at Live Nation.

    UNDERGROUND COMEDY: Spoken word doesn't always have to be so serious. The Butch Escobar's Unfiltered Underground wants to prove it to you at The Improv, 62 S 2nd St., in San Jose at 8 p.m. The comedy show will feature amusing music and performances along with spoken word.

    GET YOU SOME BLUES: We all know Lord Loves a Working Man but did you know that it was also a named used by a soulful nine-piece band based out of the Mission? No. Well did you know that the soul singers will perform at the legendary Boom Boom Room, 1601 Fillmore St., in San Francisco. Tickets are $10 and available on the Boom Boom Room's Web site.
