Department of Alcohol Beverage Control Gone Wild

advertisement

With the Department of Alcohol Beverage Control harassing city bars—most recently, Revolution Cafe and Buckshot—by suddenly enforcing rules (not laws) that it isn't required to enforce, people are trying to figure out what's going on, to no avail: "There is much speculation from all sides of this war about its causes, but no one seems to know why ABC, seemingly out of nowhere, started its crusade against music venues and clubs in San Francisco. Even the ABC is vague and unresponsive about this, broadly claiming it is acting on complaints and just doing its job."
