Home field advantage may have played a roll but 11 of the country's top 50 restaurants bars are in the Bay Area, according to OpenTable.
The San Francisco-based restaurant reservation website released its lists of the top 50 vibrant bar scene restaurants in the country and while the company says the rankings were based on four million customer reviews we can't help but wonder if a little home cooking tipped the scales in the Bay Area's favor.
Regardless OpenTable has proven it knows a thing or two about marketing restaurants since it successfully broke the Silicon Valley's year-long IPO drought last May and became a target for everyone from UrbanSpoon to hot shot start ups.
Highlighting the list is Blowfish Sushi to Die For's San Jose location, Mill Valley's Bungalo 44 and San Francisco's Gitane. For the full list check out OpenTable's release.
