Brian Boitano Goes for Street Food Gold

Former Olympic skater films Food Network show about San Francisco's illegal food scene

Brian Boitano's great Union Square cheese experiment didn't happen but the figure skater turned Food Network chef used his show to talk about San Francisco's popular street food scene.

Boitano was in Precita Park Sunday with a film crew and notable street vendors the PizzaHacker, the Magic Curry Kart, Smitten Ice Cream, and the Crème Brûlée Cart, according to SFoodie.

The San Francisco resident was filming an upcoming episode of his Food Network show "What Would Brian Boitano Make?'

And the show did not mean the death Boitano's cheese cart, which was rumored to be making an appearance in Union Square Saturday. It will surface at a later time.

"We would hope that he would have a form-fitting, sequin-laden outfit to go along with it," Crème Brûlée Man Curtis Kimball told SFoodie.
