Walnut Creek: In a rather ironic twist, the rainy weekend caused a Honda Civic to crash through the windows and doors, into the automotive-themed Hubcaps Diner at about 9:50am Saturday morning. The diner was full of breakfast patrons at the time but no one was hurt. The best part, though, is that the restaurant continued service at the time—with gaping hole in the rain, mind you—until shuttering early for repairs later in the day. We particularly enjoyed one police officer's positive spin: "I don't think it even affected anybody's breakfast ... It might be a little breezy to eat in there."
