Lawsuit-Riddled Restaurateur Goes Bankrupt

Luisa Hanson, a San Francisco restaurateur facing multiple lawsuits, filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 last Friday (and spelled her name wrong too).

With a tip of the proverbial cap to Barleycorn Suvivors, we share the news that Luisa Hanson filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 last Friday (and spelled her name wrong too).

Given that the last few weeks have seen nearly all of her properties go up for sale or lease, it was pretty obvious that something was astir in the Hanson empire, so the news isn't a complete shock. Per the public filing, her liabilities fall into the $10 million to $50 million range, while her "estimated assets" are in the $0 to $50,000 range.

So yeah, that's not gonna work out as is. The Barleycorners have the full report, and for those of you unfamiliar with Ms. Hanson, we'll refer you to this Youtube video.
