OpenTable Rips a Page Out Groupon's Coupon Book

Discount seeker's in boxes may be getting a little fuller these days thanks to San Francisco-based startups.

First Yelp got in on the coupon craze started by Groupon and now OpenTable is expanding its business to move into Groupon's popular neighborhood. The San Francisco-based reservation website is offering coupons to eat at some of its favorite restaurants.

Simply sign up for deal alerts and watch the weekly discounts roll in. If enough people buy into the discount, you'll be eating at a fancy restaurant for sometimes half the price of a normal meal.

The only catch is OpenTable has only rolled the service out in Boston and New York, with more cities set to join soon.
