    Social Kitchen + Brewery might open some day soon.

    It's rare that a restaurant opens right on time and is just falling in love with the ABC throughout the whole pre-opening process. So Social's debut, which if it happens any time soon will be three or so months late, is actually just about par for the course.

    Rich Higgins sent out an email yesterday announcing his hope that the ABC license will arrive this week and today's San Francisco Brewers Guild Gathering, originally intended to coincide with the soft -opening, has been moved to the Alembic in the Haight.

    Higgins has had extra time to work on the craft beer and food program at Social, and -- good news -- he tells us the five flagship beers are tasting great. Here, we're offering a sneak peek of the ready-to-go interior, including the upstairs brewery and steel tanks, otherwise known as fermenters. We also have a copy of the preliminary vegan- and vegetarian-friendly Menu a la Biere a la Rob Lam of Butterfly. This one is unincumbered by prices.
