The Blue Bottle Era Set to Dawn on Oakland

Coffee company tweets its arrival in Oakland is almost ready to go

The Blue Bottle Era is almost ready to dawn upon the city of Oakland.

From the Twitter feed of the upcoming gigantic Blue Bottle headquarters, cafe and roastery that lies a block or two away from the also soon to be revamped (again) Jack London Square, we get word from the popular roaster that life in Oakland is about to begin.

"All righty! Tco signed by the building department. Roaster turns on Saturday. Drinks at the coffee bar not far off," the coffee company tweeted Wednesday.

The roaster has a cult following for blending high end beans and selling them within 48 hours of their roasting. Blue Bottle currently has a cafe in San Francisco and three more kiosks in the City, including in the Ferry Building and in the SF MoMa.
