Vice President Calls Local Ice Creamery “Damn Good”

Politics sometimes can taste pretty sweet.

The owners of a Santa Cruz ice cream shop learned first hand Wednesday just how much Vice President Joe Biden likes to talk.

The former congressman called Zach Davis and Kendra Baker, who own Penny Ice Creamery in Santa Cruz, to thank the two first hand for posting a video on YouTube praising the controversial economic stimulus act.

The owners of the shop however are not partisan on the issue. The popular two month old creamery received a $250,000 loan from the stimulus, according to the Associated Press.

In a video of himself on his website placing the call, Biden called the YouTube clip by Davis and Baker "damn good." And he promised to come visit them soon for a lick of what $250,000 worth of ice cream tastes like.

"So here's the deal, I'm comin' for ice cream," he said.

Total runtime on the call? Five minutes.
