Muni Hopes Pretty New Bus Stop Is Distracting

As you've no doubt already heard, Muni unveiled a beautiful new shelter last week.

It's only been, what's, two years since we voted on it? It won't make the buses run on time, or even run well -- in the few minutes that we were there photographing it, we observed a 38 blow right by without stopping to pick up the waiting customers. Maybe the driver didn't recognize the graffiti free shelter?

But at least you'll have a fashionable place to sit while you wait. (Sadly, they don't feature the enlarged NextBus enjoyed by AC Transit.)

Gavin was present for the unveiling, and reassured onlookers that he really does care about Muni. He then pointed to a passing 38-L and gasped, "ye gods, what manner of mysterious leviathan be this?"
