Big Dreams for Small Houses: Tiny houses, once absurdities only fit...

advertisement

Tiny houses, once absurdities only fit to be parodied on Geico commercials, are gaining more fans. With barriers to home ownership as high as they are, prospective homeowners are more likely to think about a home that's 1,000 (or even 100) square feet or less. A couple months ago, California's own Tumbleweed TIny House Company took their product on a road tour, dragging a 90-square-foot house behind them on a trailer. The home tours themselves were, as we understand, short. [NYT]
