San Jose's mayor, Chuck Reed, doesn't quite have the swooning following that Gavin does, but he's been bitten by the same green bug. Last year, he said he wanted to
spoil Gavin's party make San Jose the greenest city in America. Reed's plan would create 50 million square feet of green buildings over the next 14 years, with 10-unit or 75-foot buildings required to achieve LEED certification.
