Gentrification Watch: More Condos for the Mish

advertisement

No better way to fire up white, middle-class angry, disenfranchised Mission militants than to slip "gentrification" into a headline on a Friday afternoon. (We jest, people. We jest.) Back to business: Ground has broken at 736 Valencia Street; a four-story, 8-unit condo development will spring up soon enough. Please do note that 736 Valencia Street is only doors away from the shitshow at 700 Valencia, future site of the 5-story, 9-unit luxury condo building that still has the neighborhood up in arms; at a height of 50 feet, the development will block views of the eastern side of the Women's Building. Tragic.
