Hurrah! A rebound in nonresidential building construction is making up for (some of) the serious dip in home building. Construction spending dropped by only 0.3 percent in September -- far less than the near-1 percent economics were expecting. But temper that glee: both housing construction and government building were down 1.3 percent. Um, not if Gavin and his $5.3 billion in capital projects have anything to do about it?
