New Look Metreon to Open This Weekend

Some new restaurants and stores will show off the re-design

San Francisco will get its first look at a revamped Metreon this weekend.

On Saturday, several restaurants and stores will open at the mall and theater that recently underwent a $30 million renovation.

The once fledgling shopping space is hoping restaurants such as the Buckhorn Grill and the San Francisco Soup Co. will breathe some life back into the space before its anchor tenant, Target, opens in October.

Several stores and restaurants will open this weekend, with more, such as La Boulange Bakery, Cako Creamery and Brandy Ho's Hunan Food opening shortly after.

The mall will feature a new design that aims to highlight a "lighter, brighter redesign" and there will be free Wi-Fi throughout the Metreon and 470 seats that will face Yerba Buena Gardens.

All of the tenants, except Target, are scheduled to open by the spring.
