Target Puts a Bulls Eye on Oakland

advertisement

If you live in Oakland, there is no longer a need to drive to Albany or Walnut Creek or hold your breath for something to happen in San Francisco.

The East Bay town is finally getting its own Target store -- sort of. The discount store will open what it is calling its first Oakland-Emeryville store on March 6.

The store is technically located in Emeryville, at 1555 40th St., just a stones throw away from the Shellmound.

Despite the technicality, the location will make it easier for Oaklanders to get to the bulls eye.

Most will be able to skip the congested drive down the 80 or trying to navigate through the Caldecott Tunnel just to buy some cheap home goods.
