Billy Joel and Elton John Really Like Singing Together

Superstar duo plans to play two Bay Area shows

Billy Joel and Elton John are the best of friends. And they really like each other. How much do they like each other? So much so that the two megastars want to share the stage together.

The most successful and longest-running concert duo in pop history plan to reunite for their Face 2 Face tour, strange name considering the picture, and make two stops in the Bay Area.

The musical couple will play two Bay Area shows on Saturday, Nov. 14 at ORACLE Arena in Oakland and Tuesday, Nov. 17th at HP Pavilion in San Jose.

"The great thing about performing with Elton is that he is such a good piano player and that makes me have to dig deep to keep up with him, not to mention I've got the best seat in the house-only one piano away from Elton John,” Joel said.

John loves Joel just as much.

“I love touring with Billy," he said. "I have the greatest respect for him and we’re such good friends,”

Joel and John will open both concerts with a series of duets, playing twin pianos and trading vocals. But fans will also be treated to each artists playing a solo set with his own band.

The grand finale will feature the two buddies showcasing their bro-love for a closing encore. The duo says they will play some of their greatest hits.

Tickets for the two Bay Area performances will go on sale next Monday at 10 a.m. and will be available at Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 800-745-3000.
