A Bay Area agency is trying to convince more drivers to carpool by offering free gas.
Commuter information service 511.org is offering as much as $100 in free gas to solo drivers who join a carpool.
Commuters just need to visit 511.org and click on the Rideshare link.
Over the next 90 days, the new carpoolers submit online commute logs to earn as much as $100 in gas gift cards.
