More Than 100 Designers and Artists at Thread

Plus, old favorites cashmere, silk and chocolate are all edged up

NEW THREADS AT THREAD: It takes a lot of threads to make up a garment, but it only takes one to find an entire new wardrobe. This weekend Thread is back with their biggest extravaganza yet. Not only are over 100 designers and artists showing their clothes and kicks at Fort Mason, the event hosts live fashion show performances, a lunchtime clothing swap, and even a pro photographer to snap pics of your style. PINNED ON TV: Direct TV, Comcast digital cable, you guys can eat your hearts out.  Science Kitty has made an absolutely charming Analog TV Pin. It's got that kind of adorability only found in vintage items with that oh so special nostalgic appeal. Use it to punch up an outfit and spark up the "back in my day" conversation you thought you were too young to have.

CUTTING EDGE SILK: Hardcore is the last thing that comes to mind when thinking of silk, but after seeing this Caged Silk Layer Dress by Funktional, a new addition at Nasty Gal boutique, prior assumptions about the smooth material have been dispelled. The electric blue cage style and bum-hugging skirt have changed the way we see silk.

MMMM CASHMERE: Designer Suzi Johnston of Souchi made her very first sweater in the Bay and we're all happy to welcome her back for a trunk show at Metier! Johnson has got the irresistible cashmere and knits you can't help but covet in this cold. Hot cocoa and crisp leaves are great, and a preview of the goods this Saturday from 10am to 6pm is yet another reason to love fall! [SF Indie Fashion]

COSMIC CHOCOLATE:
This Oakland-based gourmet chocolatier that offers gorgeous and delicious chocolates, including truffles infused with local liquors and exotic spices, pieces topped with famous faces like Barack Obama, and classic candy bars. Cosmic Chocolate has unique designs and flavors that are out of this world!
