  • Flood Warning

    Sonoma, CA

    Sonoma CA-
    729 AM PST MON JAN 23 2017

The National Weather Service in The San Francisco Bay Area has issued

    * Flood Warning for...
Central Sonoma County in northern California...

    * Until 730 AM PST Tuesday

    * At 723 AM PST, the automated real-time stream gage on Mark West
Creek near Mirabel Heights continues to show active flooding in
lower Mark West Creek near the confluence with the Russian River.
Flooding is expected to continue through today and possibly extend
further. Water levels are expected to recede slowly as the Laguna
de Santa Rosa slowly drains from recent rains and the Russian
    River falls sufficiently.

    * At this point in time, moderate flooding is occurring, meaning
that low spots on Trenton-Healdsburg Road are flooding on the
north side of the creek and Wohler Road is likely flooded.
Other portions of the lower floodplain are likely flooded.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
    deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
