An area of low pressure will provide cooler temperatures and a few showers Wednesday, in addition to keeping mostly cloudy conditions in place for the Greater Bay Area.
Most of the precipitation is expected in the South and East Bay and rainfall amounts look small with a trace to .25" expected with isolated areas of heavier amounts.
Thursday a cold front will follow, this will offer a better chance for rain with cooling conditions.
Expect 50s to start the day with a full deck of low clouds expected. These clouds will remain in place with times of light showers.
With cloud cover and a strengthening trough, expect a few thunderstorms during the afternoon.
Inland areas will reach the upper 60s, Bayside will be mid 60s, the coast will be in the lower 60s. Winds will gust, especially along the coast Wednesday with gusts up to 30 mph.
Thursday a cold front will slide across the area keeping the cool, cloudy weather in place. Thursday there is a better chance for widespread showers with rainfall amounts anywhere from a trace to .25."
Daytime highs will remain cool with mid 60s inland, lower 60s, upper 50s along the coast. Winds will remain breezy with gusts up to 35 mph.
THE WEEKEND: A ridge will begin building into the area leaving for plenty of sunshine and temps warming back into the 80s Inland. Even coastal locations are expected to climb into the 70s.
