Give yourself some extra time this morning. Fog is most likely going to effect your drive.
The California Highway Patrol issued fog advisories for most bridges throughout the Bay Area. On the list is San Mateo Bridge, Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, Carquinez Bridge, Benicia-Martinez Bridge, Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge.
The fog rolled in while most of us slept. Advisories started going up at 11:30 p.m. on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. The Carquines Bridge soon followed. By sunrise all of the bridges were under the warning.
Roads are also impacted of course. Visibly is less than a quarter of a mile in the worst areas.
The fog is blanketing much of the Bay Area and into the Sacramento Valley and even into the Sierra.
Clearing isn't expected until midday.
