Soggy Saturday Kicks Off Weekend

Get the rain coats, umbrellas and rubber boots ready. It's going to be another wet weekend in the Bay Area.

A soggy Saturday starts us off. Some rain will be heavy at times. It won't rain all day but when it does, it could be heavy and sometimes with lightning, thunder and small hail. The scattered showers will end by the evening hours. Saturday night we'll clear from the rain by 7 p.m. and we'll only get a few scattered showers along the coast overnight.

You can expect a lot of fog, mist and drizzle to kick off Super Bowl Sunday. The afternoon will clear and we'll remain dry Sunday afternoon.

If you're traveling to the Sierra for some winter sports fun, the ski and snowboarding conditions will be amazing. But the commute there will be slow with 2 to 3 feet of fresh snow and light snow coming down through Saturday evening.

Have a great weekend and stay tuned for more on new storms coming next week. Tuesday looks like a very cold day with possible snow in the Bay Area Hills above 3,500 feet.
