Some Showers Possible

A mix of clouds and onshore winds will continue the downward trend in our inland temperatures for Sunday. Look for highs in the 60s and 70s from the coast into the bay with some 80s further inland. Of more interest will be our chance for seeing some showers at times as mid-level moisture continues streaming across the Bay Area through Monday evening. The most likely places to see measureable rain will be near the hills, however an occasional shower is still possible around the lower elevations as well. Recent computer model trends have included keeping shower chances slightly higher from the East Bay hills down through the South Bay to Santa Cruz. As a trough of low pressure approaches late Monday into Tuesday, we ll see what remains of the showers heading eastward by Tuesday afternoon. Somewhat cooler than average temps will linger through midweek thanks to a fairly healthy dose of onshore winds, then as high pressure builds back toward Northern California we should see 90s returning for our inland valleys by the end of the week and into next weekend.
