Storm Could Thwart Travel Plans

A storm front expected for the northeast could make travel plans dicey.

If Santa Claus is headed to the northeast this holiday season -- and by Santa Claus, we mean you -- he's in for a bumpy airline travel ride.

A storm front developing between the East and West coasts is expecting to wreak havoc with travelers attempting to fly between the Bay Area and the northeast, according to the San Francisco Examiner.

A weather pattern in the southwest is expected to move east to bring rain and snow, meteorologists said. That means low visibility for pilots.

This inclement weather and heavy travel expected throughout the weekend could mean headaches and delays, the newspaper reported.

The "nasty weather" in the Northeast is expected to be limited to Friday, however.
