Summer-Like Temps Ahead - NBC Bay Area

Summer-Like Temps Ahead

A weakening sea breeze and increasing northwesterly winds will help to clear out our skies sooner, leading to more warming to finish the weekend. As high pressure strengthens, temps should climb even higher later in the week. Before then we'll need to watch a period of gusty, dry north winds into Tuesday and Wednesday which may warrant some fire weather watches and very early season red flag warnings for the hills of the north and east bay, so stay tuned. Less wind and more warming for the second half of the week with some inland spots possibly approaching the low to mid 90s. As winds decrease another of our Summer-like issues may begin to become a problem around the Bay Area - air quality. Ground level ozone levels may climb later in the week, possibly high enough for our first Spare the Air days, something also to watch for toward the end of the week.- Rob Mayeda
