Sunday Sunshine, Showers Midweek

We’ll see some high clouds passing by at times today with temps climbing into the 60s and a few low to mid 70s in our inland valleys. Patchy coastal low clouds may begin to fill in again by sundown as winds begin to turn onshore.Look for a chance of showers to return to the forecast possibly by late Tuesday into Wednesday, with isolated showers still lingering into Thursday as an upper low remains over the area. Another area of low pressure in the form of a cut-off low will begin to approach the Bay Area on Friday. Depending on the location, we may manage some decent rain totals from this system by the start of next weekend. As is the case with these cut-off low (name given as they are ‘detached’ from the flow of the jet stream) pressure systems, position and track can be challenging, so we’ll be watching this system closely to better determine its impact as we go through the work week.Enjoy your Sunday! – Rob Mayeda
