Video Forecast: "Dog Days of...Spring?"

Sunday started off quite chilly thanks to air dried out by some gusty winds on Saturday and clear skies. We'll still manage some 70s to near 80 degree temperatures inland to wrap up the weekend. Expect a subtle cooling trend early in the week as the sea breeze ramps up slightly thanks to a weather system putting a dent in our West Coast ridge of high pressure. Look for this high to rebuild by Wednesday providing a couple days of Summer like temperatures with many 80s likely inland. Cooling should resume by next weekend as a stronger trough of low pressure nears the West Coast. Please take a little time beyond the forecast to listen to Kris Sanchez' interview with the East Bay SPCA's Mia Georgiu on the topic of more and more Chihuahuas being left at animal shelters of late. Movies have made the breed quite popular, except for the responsibilities of dog ownership are often too much for some (sad, but true). If you have room in your home for an extra friend, please consider helping out. - Rob Mayeda
