Warmer Finish To Labor Day Weekend - NBC Bay Area

Warmer Finish To Labor Day Weekend

Temps warmed by about 10 degrees inland on Saturday, a trend that should continue into Sunday and Monday. Our marine layer compressed from 3,000 ft to near 2,000 ft late Saturday, a sign of high pressure beginning to flex its muscles near the Bay Area. The sea breeze will stick around for the coast and bay with some 60s to low 70s, however the sea breeze influence inland will subside somewhat. This means we should see highs in the 80s and 90s as early as Sunday and likely lasting through at least Tuesday. One wild card to watch will be the remnant moisture of former Tropical Storm Ileana, some mid-level clouds may try to sweep toward Central California later Tuesday into Wednesday. This may bring some fuel for some mountain thundershowers, something we'll keep an eye on later in the week.Enjoy your Sunday! - Rob Mayeda
